GUIDELINES FOR CLINICAL EXAMINATION - COVID 19
Cardiff Sports Orthopaedics are fully committed to safeguarding the health and safety of all their patients/clients
During each examination, consultants will be adhering to the following guidelines –

Maintain a safe distance of at least 2 metres during consultation – except during physical examination.

All reasonable precautions will be taken to maintain patient/client safety.

Furniture within the examination room will be sanitised before and after each consultation.
Patients/clients are asked to adhere to the following:

Attend the appointment alone – unless a chaperone is needed e.g. children under the age of 18 or patients/clients with severe mobility issues.

If you need a chaperone, please travel only with members of your household.

Do not attend the clinic until your appointment time – no more than 5 minutes beforehand. Please wait in your car if you are early.

Use the hand sanitiser before entering the consultation room.

Wear a face covering, e.g. mask, if possible.
Patients/clients must not attend the appointment if –

You are over the age of 70 – government guidelines state that these individuals should be self-isolating.
-
You have a significant past medical history such as diabetes.
-
You have a current medical condition and have been advised to self-isolate.

You or a member of your household have any symptoms of Covid 19 i.e. fever, high temperature, new/continuous cough, loss of sense or smell.
